Executive agenda of the Administration of Blanský les PLA:

1. expert nature conservation activities according to the Act No. 114/1992 Coll. on nature and landscape protection
2. execution of special state administration on the territory of PLA regarding to nature and landscape protection

Activities of the Administration of Blanský les PLA:

Competences:

• Within the territory of the protected landscape area (hereinafter the PLA), the PLA Administration performs state administration tasks in the field of nature and landscape protection, unless such tasks are in competence of the relevant municipality, the Ministry of the Environment or the Czech Environmental Inspectorate in accordance with Act No. 114/1992 Coll. on nature and landscape protection.
• The PLA Administration manages, within its territorial competence, excerpts of the Nature Conservancy Central Register, where the competence includes all categories of small-size specially protected areas located within the PLA territory plus NNRs and NNMs within its area of extended competencies.
• The PLA Administration conducts tree-felling administrative proceedings within the territory of PLA-based small-size specially protected areas, designates heritage trees including buffer zones and gives consent to any treatment.
• The PLA Administration identifies and evaluates the local and the regional system of ecological stability, giving approval for setting up or dismantling service roads, provided there are serious reasons for this.
• The PLA Administration reviews decisions made by municipal authorities issued in administrative proceedings in the field of nature and landscape conservation.
• The PLA Administration issues opinions under § 45i, sub-section 1, and impose compensatory measures pursuant to § 45i, sub-section 11.
• The Blanský les PLA Administration, within its extended territorial competencies, performs state administration tasks in the following specially protected areas included in the category of national sites: NNR -  Brouskův mlýn, Žofínský prales, Čertova stěna-Luč; NNM -  Hojná Voda, Terčino údolí, U Hajnice and Rovná.
• The PLA Administration is an authorised decision-making body for publishing founding decrees for nature reserves and nature monuments.
• The PLA Administration also performs the tasks of an expert nature and landscape conservation organisation, conducts scientific inventories, keeps records and investigation results in conservation, works with research and scientific institutions and safeguards ranger, information and cultural and educational activities. Every PLA administration's tasks include organising the management of specially protected areas within its territorial competence.
